Lawanda and I went to a fellow demonstrator's (Michelle Rahal) Stamp-A-Stack in Savannah about a month ago, and below are the cards we made there. We both fell in love with the Nature Walk Stamp set as a result of the card we made. Michelle said I was welcome to come any time and bring a guest (or guests) -- if she has room. She does the Stamp-A-Stacks once a month, mostly on Friday evenings, but sometimes she does them Friday evening and Saturday morning - last Friday night of the month. Her girls play soccer, so she just has to see about Saturday mornings. If anyone would like to go with me some Saturday morning when she is having one, let me know you might be interested and I'll give you a call when I decide to go again. We did 4 cards each of 3 designs for $20.
The Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand and Night of Navy cardstock just look so elegant together, don't you think? And the flower is nice on the envelope. The Lattice embossing folder is also used on the Very Vanilla Cardstock and the seam binding ribbon is in Crumb Cake.
So, of course, after making this card, I wanted the Nature Walk Stamp Set. It is in the Occasions Mini Catalog which has a deadline coming up of April 30.
Another card we made was this with the Always Elegant set on page 67 of the regular Idea Book and Catalog.
Fell in love with this stamp set then too. I had not been drawn to the 1 1/4" wide striped ribbon . . . until this card. Now I REALLY like it! The sentiment is from the hostess set Something to Celebrate which is is the Occasions Mini Catalog too. The ribbon and cardstock is black. So -- then I wanted this ribbon and this stamp set!
A third card we did at the Stamp-A-Stack used the Designer Series In Color Paper Pack that is one of the hostess sets in the regular catalog. Clean and simple -- but really cute. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
We had a delightful time at Michelle's. She had lamps at each work table - which is where I got the idea to put lamps at our work tables too. Thanks, Michelle!
A place to share my love of stamping and making cards and other hobbies, such as reading.
Welcome to my blog!
Thank you for visiting my blog about cards and other hobbies. Stamp Club is for anyone that would enjoy making cards and learning new techniques - we would love to have you come! We meet the first Saturday of each month or the following Monday (unless changed because of holidays). (Each monthly get together is held those two days - sometimes one day is more convenient than the other!) An Evite is sent out each month - so if you would like to come to Stamp Club, just email me and let me know to put you on the Evite list: helencashon@gmail.com . Sometimes we have Stamp-A-Stacks or other classes also.
