Cards made at Stamp Club:
Nancy, the hostess, requested cards made with fabric, so this is one. It is CASED from Heather Summers - from a card on her blog (http://www.stampwithheather.typepad.com/ - see February 7, 2011, posting. Heather used the Scallop Circle Die with the Big Shot for her flower however. Stamp set used is Bliss, one of the Sale-A-Bration sets. The seam binding has been ruffled.
Ruffled scallop behind image. Designed by Helen! -- inspiration and directions of how to make the ruffle from Debbie Robinson (http://stampnstash.blogspot.com/) posted to Splitcoast on April 11, 2009.
See her card here
Spirelli (Dutch String Art)
Nancy Collins had done a number of Spirelli circles and had entered a Spirelli card in the fair this past fall - and won a ribbon. Card designed by Helen.
From the Past card: Penny Spinner Card
CASED from: Janet Hill - posted on February 27, 2011, on Stampin' Connection. She used a blue color combination. Stamp set is Flight of the Butterfly. Cardstock is Daffoldil Delight and Poppy Parade - I love those two colors together!
I also made some other samples just to show:
Fabric on card. Butterfly part inspired by: Mercedes Weber. See her website: http://www.mercedesweber.blogspot.com/. See her January 10, 2011, posting.
and also Charlene Boyachek where I got the idea of using the fabric strip as ribbon
Tulip embossing folder. Butterfly Die; Marina Mist cardstock and ribbon. SU! Fabric.
Ornament Punch with fabric. Cotton ball underneath makes it puff out.
Idea CASED from poster Michelerey on Splitcoaststampers October 21, 2010. See her card here.
As she states - please note that the fabric is NOT punched.
Decided to try the butterfly punch and fabric and cotton ball underneath.
The little butterfly that punched out with the die at the same time. He's not on a card - he's just flying around.
Chalk Grid Line technique.
Card inspired by Julie Davison - poster Juls716 on Splitcoaststampers. See her card here. Her website: http://juliedavison.blogspot.com/ . Garden Green Chalk rubbed onto Whisper White cardstock. Then, with art eraser, lines are erased. Need to have a clear ruler that you can see through and be able to measure same increments so that the lines are evenly spaced. Ruler similar to this. If anyone would like to do this technique, let me know. I have two of the rulers, so I can teach it to two people at a time.
