Welcome to my blog!

Thank you for visiting my blog about cards and other hobbies. Stamp Club is for anyone that would enjoy making cards and learning new techniques - we would love to have you come! We meet the first Saturday of each month or the following Monday (unless changed because of holidays). (Each monthly get together is held those two days - sometimes one day is more convenient than the other!) An Evite is sent out each month - so if you would like to come to Stamp Club, just email me and let me know to put you on the Evite list: helencashon@gmail.com . Sometimes we have Stamp-A-Stacks or other classes also.

Stampin' Saturday - 8-1-09 - Part 1C - Holy Triptych card

Cards made with Holy Triptych stamp set. All images, cardstock and ribbon from Stampin' Up!

This card is a direct CASE from a card by "inkpad" on splitcoaststampers. Original card dated 9/9/07. This is the card that we did in Stamp Club. The card base and the wise men panel is Naturals Ivory. Darker panel is kraft cardstock. Stamp sets used Holy Triptych and Baroque Motifs. Kraft Taffeta ribbon. Stamp-a-ma-jig used to place the frame over the Wise Men. All images heat embossed in gold. This top one was my favorite, the kraft paper is less expensive (and I like kraft cs) than the brushed gold below if you're going to make a lot, and I like the kraft ribbon better.

This card is similar to one above, except Very Vanilla cardstock is being used and Brushed Gold. Vanilla ribbon. Direct CASE from card done by darkahry posted 10/5/07 on splitcoast.

Direct CASE of card by Kathryn W. posted on splitcoaststampers on 10/25/07. The filagree part on the left was a challenge - it is just the filagree part of the frame stamp in Holy Triptych without the frame part. So the top had to be masked off and then the sides trimmed to get the side part of the frame off. Then versamarked and heat embossed in gold. White and Night of Navy cardstock used.

I've always thought this was a really elegant set, and wanted to showcase all 3 images of the set -- the Holy family, the Wise Men, and the angel. And this card is not CASED -- it was designed by me! The images are heat embossed in gold on Vanilla or Naturals Ivory cardstock and then layered onto Bravo Burgundy (retired color). The card base is 5 x 7 I think - needed to be bigger than A2 card size in order to hold all 3 images. Below the 3 panels is a strip of Handsome Hunter.
